Fresh paint A Limestone Home

Limestone is a natural stone that will last for a long time without needing any repair. It is impervious to many problems that plague wood or vinyl siding homes, such as insects and rot. Painting a limestone home will require some time on your part. However, once you have completed the project, you will not have to worry about repainting for a very long time.

Instructions

1. Clean the limestone siding. Blast away any loose dirt with a pressure washer. Fill a bucket with water and add non-soapy detergent. Scrub the limestone with this solution, using a medium bristle siding brush. Rinse the siding off and allow it to dry.

2. Roll on the first coat of an exterior acrylic masonry primer. Look over the limestone and touch up any areas that the roller missed with a brush. Wait for this coat to dry completely. Apply a second coat of the primer and allow it to dry.

3. Roll the first layer of high-quality exterior paint onto the limestone siding. Look over the siding and touch up any missed areas with a paint brush. Wait for this coat to dry.

4. Apply a second coat of paint to the limestone siding. Touch up any missed areas with a paint brush.
