Instructions
1. Apply tape along the areas you do not want painted one day before you want to paint. This ensures even and straight lines between what will be painted and what won't. Prime the walls by applying a thin coat of latex primer evenly over the wall you wish to paint. Allow the primer to dry the rest of the day.
2. Dip your 4.5-inch roller in your Ralph Lauren Regent Metallics paint, and smoothly roll it horizontally and vertically along the taped areas. Because this is a thinner brush, it is easier to paint along your taped areas with this brush. If there are small areas this brush is too wide for, wait to fill these areas in.
3. Dip your 9-inch roller into your paint. In the top 20-by-20-inch section of the wall, paint in a V formation. When the roller runs out of paint, dip it in paint again, and paint another V below your first V in another 20-by-20-inch section. Continue painting downward with this technique.
4. Fill in the 20-by-20-inch column of your wall by painting ceiling to floor.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 along the entirety of your wall. Let your first coat dry for four hours, and then begin this process again for your second coat. This style of painting produces a texture that enhances the metallic shimmer.
6. Finish areas too small for your roller brushes by dipping your 3-inch nylon/poly trim brush into paint, and evenly painting in a single direction. Apply two or more coats, allowing each coat to dry for four hours.
