Fresh paint A Nursery Such As The 100 Acre Wood

The 100 acre woods is the location of Winnie the Pooh's home.

The 100 acre woods is the home of the characters from A.A. Milne's beloved children's books about Winnie the Pooh. Although it was popularized in the Disney movies and television shows, the 100 acre woods has also been depicted in the Milne book illustrations. Using both the classic books and the Disney interpretation, you can create a 100 acre wood inspired nursery for your new baby with just a little time and effort.

Instructions

1. Paint the walls in your room with a base color. Choose a light shade of green, blue or tan. Allow the paint to dry completely.

2. Paint the ceiling light blue. Allow it to dry.

3. Use pieces of light colored chalk to hand draw trees, grass and flowers on the walls. Draw clouds on the ceiling.

4. Paint the chalk drawn images with acrylic paints. Paint one color at a time and allow the paint to dry before using another color.

5. Use pieces of light-colored chalk to draw memorable places from the 100 acre wood on the walls, such as Pooh's house and Rabbit's garden. Use acrylic paints to color the places as you did for the trees, grass and flowers.

6. Use pieces of chalk to draw the characters on the walls. You can include just the main characters, Pooh, Piglet, Eeoyre and Tigger. Or if preferred, you can include the secondary characters such as Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Owl. If desired you can also include the human characters, Christopher Robin and Darby.

7. Moisten a rag and use it to wipe around any chalk that you can still see on the wall.
