Fresh paint A Higher Room Wall With No Ladder

Paint a High Room Wall Without a Ladder

Changing the color of a room is gratifying in many ways and creates options for decorating. Painting techniques differ for each room. Some rooms are smaller than others, have narrow walls, or in some instances a high wall or cathedral ceiling. If you are painting a high wall but you do not have a ladder to reach certain areas, you can still paint the wall using devices that attach to the brushes.

Instructions

1. Remove everything from the room. Bring in all the items needed for painting.

2. Mix 1 cup mild dish liquid with 4 cups warm tap water in a bucket. Dip a sponge in the solution, then clean each wall with the dampened sponge. Let the walls dry for at least 15 minutes.

3. Add a dropcloth to the floor before painting. The dropcloth acts as a barrier between paint drippings and the floor.

4. Remove the lid from the paint can and stir the paint with a wooden stirring stick until well blended. Pour paint into the paint tray until the tray is about half full.

5. Attach a paintbrush extender to a paintbrush and dip the bristles in the paint until it's saturated halfway up the brush.

6. Paint the corners and crown molding (if applicable). Try painting hard-to-reach areas as well.

7. Paint the remaining areas of the wall with the paint roller by adding the paint roller extender. Roll paint onto the wall in a "W" pattern in 2-foot sections and spread the paint evenly for maximum coverage and uniformity. Allow the wall to dry for the amount of time specified on the paint can. Examine the wall to see if it needs another coat of paint.
