Behr Fresh paint Ideas

Enhance any living space with rich paint colors from Behr.

Behr has a bevy of paint colors that will inject new life to your living space. Whether you are looking for a quirky splash of color on one wall or a rich hue that will add depth to a large room, there are many Behr paint shades to choose from to make your house a home.

Living Room

For a very large space, you can paint the entire room a deep rustic color which will create a comforting look without taking away from the magnitude of the space. A terracotta shade like S-H-230 Ground Nutmeg will add warmth and enhances the dimension of the room when paired with S-H-280 Acorn Spice. There are about three shades between these colors, so they are in the same color family. The latter has a slight yellow undertone so it pops when painted on the walls opposite of those painted the former shade.

For a small room, leave three walls white and allow natural light to make the space appear larger. On the wall with a window, add color to pull the room together. If you are seeking a traditional look, a classic red shade like 170B-7 Red Tomato is a muted red that will tie in with colors like chocolate and dark wood.

For a modern approach, go for unexpected hues like 440B-6 Barnyard Grass or S-G-190 Intense Teal. These colors go with vintage-style or very modern decor that is dominated by clean lines and white furniture.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are sometimes a small space that need a shot of color to make them appear more stylish. Paint one wall in a bold Behr paint color. Take into account that bathroom decor changes minimally in comparison to the remainder of the house, so you can take a chance in this space and go with a vibrant shade that will serve as the focal point of the room.

Intense colors will create a bold backdrop for you to experiment with bathroom linens and fixtures. For a classic look, go with a rich blue like S-G-550 Artesian Blue. For a blue that is quirky, try 530B-6 Tropical Holiday. Both blues serve as eye catching backdrops for a bathroom, though the former has a more traditional feel while the latter will please those with a modern decor taste.

Bedroom

Bedroom decor changes the most frequently, since you may change out your duvet or throw pillows on a seasonal basis. Go with neutral colors that are a modern take on old classics. For example, 470F-7 Deep Jungle works well with a bedroom with modern furniture and a color scheme that revolves around beige, gray or white. 430D-5 Geranium Leaf is a smart choice for those with dark wood furniture and dark floors, be it wood or carpet. If you like to have fun with color, opt for S-H-670 Plum for an opulent look that will pop with white or blond wood furniture and gold accents.
