Oil-based paint
If you typically use latex paint and then switch to oil-based, you might be dismayed when you go to wash up. Oil-based paints, whether used for home decor or fine art painting, do not wash off easily with soap and water, especially when dry. Contrary to what you might have heard, turpentine or other harsh solvents should not be used on your skin. Oil-based paint can be easily removed using non-toxic household items.
Instructions
1. Wipe off any wet paint from your skin, using a rag or a paper towel because oil-based paint does not wash easily out of fabric.
2. vegetable oil
Pour a small amount of vegetable oil onto the remaining paint, massaging gently with your fingers until it is dissolved and softened. Many different kinds of oil can be used. If you do not have vegetable oil you could try olive, almond or baby oil.
3. Wipe the oil and paint off your skin with a rag.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have removed all of the paint. It may take several minutes of massaging and reapplying oil, depending on how much is on your skin and how dry it is.
5. Wash with soap and water to remove the oil residue. Your skin should now be clean and paint-free!
