Instructions
1. First acquire the necessary tools: a handsaw, coping saw, hammer, power drill, screwdriver, tape measure, paintbrush, goggles and paint.
2. Afterward, purchase the following materials as described in Lowe's hardware store's Building a Birdhouse guide: One 2 by 4-by-five-inch plywood plank; one 6.5-inch-by-.25-inch wooden dowel; six .75-inch hot-dipped galvanized screws; one-inch galvanized brads or 3d nails
3. Follow the Lowe's guidelines to complete your birdhouse. (See References.)
4. Now you are ready to paint your project. Be aesthetic; create a house birds would be proud to feed in. Consider a theme (such as flowers, birds or peace) or put a famous painting on the house.
5. There are many options for selling your birdhouses if this becomes a full-time hobby. If you want to start your own business, check out Etsy.com and eBay.com. Etsy provides free advertising for your arts and crafts, but eBay has more traffic.
