Create complex 3D structures using virtual versions of Lego blocks with LEGO's Digital Designer software. Once you create your own unique model, prompt the software to estimate the cost of building it with real bricks. Before you get that far, however, you will want to specify the color of your bricks. Paint your bricks using the built-in paint tool. Accessing the tool is simple once you know where its icon is located within the program.
Instructions
1. Click "Start" and then click "All Programs." Click "Lego Company" and then click "Lego Digital Designer."
2. Click the "Free Build" button located on the right-hand side of the user interface.
3. Click the brick icon located on the left-hand side of the user interface. Select a brick by clicking it when the list of available bricks comes up.
4. Drag a brick into the work area. Point the mouse cursor to the top of the user interface and click the "Paint Tool" icon.
5. Click the brick that you placed into the work space and then select a color to change it to from the "Paint Tool" dialog box that opens.
