Painter X is a graphics software program manufactured by Corel. Painter X is used by artists to create digital paintings as well as illustrations. Professionals who use Painter X include commercial designers, photographers, fine artists and people in the entertainment industry. Features
Painter X features realistic art media that create textures consistent with actual art materials. You can choose from different types of digital brushes and pens to complete your illustration. Windows System Requirements
You must have at least Windows XP with the most up-to-date service pack installed on your PC in order to download Painter X. It will also work with Windows Vista. You also need a Pentium IV 700 MHz processor or higher, 1 GB of RAM and 500 MB of hard drive space. Your computer screen must have a 24-bit color display and 1024 x 768 display resolution. A CD-ROM drive, mouse and Internet Explorer are additional Painter X system requirements.
Mac System Requirements
The Mac version will only work on OS X 10.4 or 10.5 with the latest upgrade installed. Additionally, the Safari browser is required along with a Power Mac G5 700 MHz processor or higher. Many of the other system requirements are similar to the Windows version with the need for 1 GB of RAM, 500 MB of hard drive space, 24 bit color display, 1024 x 768 display resolution, CD-ROM and mouse.
Types
You can choose one of three buying options when you decide to purchase Painter X. Available choices include box version, download and upgrade version. All three versions will have the same system requirements with the exception of the upgrade. To be eligible for the upgrade, you must own at least one of the following: MetaCreations Painter 6, Procreate Painter 7, Corel Painter 6, 8, 9 or 9.5. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 or X4 owners are also eligible for the upgrade.
