You can use an extension ladder to help you paint a tall wall.
You bought your house because of the impressively high ceilings. Now you want to change the color of those alluring tall walls, but you can't figure out get paint up there. Painting tall walls will be difficult, but it can be done with some specialty tools and extra muscle.
Instructions
1. Put painter's tape on the molding and plastic sheeting on the floor to protect from drips.
2. Set an extension ladder directly on the floor (not over the plastic sheeting) and lean it against the wall. With a small container of paint and a sash brush in one hand, climb the ladder. Use the angled sash brush to cut in, or paint the wall along the ceiling. Paint a few inches down to where your roller can reach without touching the ceiling. Work a few feet at a time, then move the ladder to cut in another section. Do not lean too far out from the ladder and risk falling sideways.
3. Pour some paint into a paint tray and use a paint roller with an extension to paint as far up as you can. If you cannot reach the point where you cut in with the brush, you can use the extension ladder and the extension roller to reach it.
4. Clean up the plastic sheeting. Let the paint dry completely, then remove the painter's tape.
