3-D home design
Punch! Software is a series of 3-D home and landscape design software products for home and professional users. The entire range of Punch! home design software provides new and seasoned users with access to design features typically reserved for professionals, without having to learn highly complex programs, such as CAD. With Punch! Home Design Software, you can create 2-D floor plans, roofing, decks and landscape. You can also convert to and view in 3-D, as well as add color, decorations, plants, textures and furniture to fully visualize your completed design.
Instructions
1. Software CD
Insert the Punch! Home Design software CD into the computer CD/DVD tray or bay and follow the onscreen installation instructions. Select from the programs list on a PC or the applications folder on a Mac, the Punch! Home Design software icon and click it to launch the software.
2. Click "Get Started with Quickstart!" on the pop-up menu that appears to launch Quick start. You will be taken to the main screen comprised of the menu bar, the workspace, toolbar, editing toolbox, tool set and 3-D view.
3. Design your floor plan. Select a room type, presented as color-coded squares. Click on your selection of Living, Kitchen or Dining and then click on the work area. A basic square or rectangular shape will appear in the work area. Click on one of the corners of the newly created box and hold down the mouse button to drag and re-size the dimensions of the newly created room. You may also re-size at a later time.
4. Click directly on the room types located on the top menu and place them on the workspace. Repeat as necessary to complete the number of rooms you want to create and design. Click on the rooms to select and move them to the desired location and lay them out until you are satisfied with the design.
5. Click "File," "Save as" and type a name for your design. Click "Save."
