Jungle Mural Ideas

Namibie Etosha National Park

Jungles are found in many countries around the world. This means that options are vast for creating a jungle mural. Murals can fit in most rooms in a house or business, but jungle murals can make a bold statement when displayed in a child's room, office or restaurant.

Create a Mural

To create a long lasting wall mural the wall must first be prepared. Prepare the wall by painting with a white primer base. Next, use a soft lead pencil to sketch out the drawing . Use heavy-duty paints like interior semi gloss or acrylic craft paint to paint the mural. After the mural is painted, use a clear sealer to protect the painting.

African Jungles

African jungle murals can be accomplished by using elements such as African vegetation and animals. Include animals like elephants, zebras, giraffes, big cats and birds. African plants include the acacia thorn tree, proteas, Baobab trees, gazanias and succulents.

African murals often depict scenes around watering holes, but an African mural can also be painted with the greenery of a forested jungle.

African jungle scenes make a creative addition to a child's room or an African inspired room. Select wooden furniture and animal print fabrics in a room with an African mural. Use accent colors that are found in the mural.

Amazon Jungles

Rainforest murals should be produced in vibrant colors. They often depict giant waterfalls or more densely covered jungle areas. An Amazon scene can also contain images of butterflies, toucans, macaws, monkeys, anacondas and jaguars. Plant choices include kapok, palms, lilies and orchids.

Decorate a room with an Amazon jungle mural with bright greens and dark woods. Select furniture that is inspired by the rainforest. Select accent colors that are common to the mural.

Hawaiian Jungles

Hawaiian themed jungle murals include scenes of Hawaiian vegetation and waterfalls. Such a mural would make a beautiful addition to an Hawaiian themed restaurant.

Use images of waterfalls, volcanic mountains or a secluded tropical oasis. For vegetation depict ferns, orchids, proteas, ape flowers and the hinano.

Select accessories like tiki statues and pineapples to add to the room. Yellow golds, greens and sandy beiges make excellent choices for upholstery colors or other fabric accents Select accent paint colors that match the mural.

Asian Jungles

Asian jungle themes include snow leopards as well as bamboo gardens.

Pandas, red apes, orangutans, gibbons and fruit bats would also make good choices for animals to include in such a mural. Coconut palm trees, teak trees, cinnamon tree, Ylang Ylang tree and bamboo are all vegetation that would be at home in an Asian scene

Matching décor would include dark lacquered furniture with pearlized accents or gold leafing. Appropriate color choices in an Asian room are reds and fleshy tones.
