Microsoft Fresh paint Training

Microsoft Paint is a simple paint program that has shipped with Microsoft Windows from the beginning. The program is often referred to as MS Paint or Paint. Although MS Paint is easy to use, someone familiar with its basic tools and use them can create a variety of digital artwork.

Drawing With Paint

You can draw in Microsoft Paint using a pencil, which you can find in the toolbox located along the left side of the work window. From this toolbox, you select the shape you want to use (straight lines, squares, ovals) and then select the line thickness you want. Running along the top of the work window, you can use the color picker to choose the color line you want to draw. You draw lines by left-clicking your mouse button and dragging the line. Anything you draw or paint can be erased by clicking the eraser icon in the toolbox and dragging it over the section you want to erase.

Outlining and Filling in Paint

You can outline your drawings in Paint using different colors. You can make outlines with a fill color (the color of your background) or using a solid color of your choice, with no background. To apply any of the three outline options, click the option tool and select option one, two or three to apply either "Outline," "Outline with Fill" or "Solid." Selecting the eyedropper icon lets you choose a color from anywhere on your image; then switching to the bucket lets you fill another area with the selected color.

Paint

The paintbrush tools allow you to add paint strokes to your artwork. You can paint images from scratch by selecting a brush style from the toolbox, or you can paint images you've drawn. The newest version of Paint introduces realistic oil paint effects with new brushes that mimic the application of oils. Using the brushstroke tool option, you can change the pressure of your brushstrokes with the shape of the brush tip.

Image Editing

You can open images in Microsoft Paint and use them as the basis for creating a painting based on that image. Using the eyedropper tool to select specific colors from an image, then applying them to the image with the paintbrush tools, you can paint over a photographic image and turn it into a painted image.
