Learn Facepainting

Practice face painting to create unique and detailed designs.


If you have artistic talent, you might consider learning face painting. You can do face painting at parties, family events or even for supplemental money. For example, you could do face painting at flea markets, craft fairs, friends' parties or birthday parties. You get a chance to interact with other people and have a great deal of fun.


Instructions


1. Buy a variety of different colors of face paints and face powders that are hypoallergenic. Purchase different size craft and makeup brushes (see Resources).


2. Sketch simple designs on a sheet of paper with colored pencils. Make the designs simple and remember that they will go on people's faces. Practice sketching until you're comfortable with several designs.


3. Stand in front of a mirror. Select one design you created in Step 2. Use the face powders and paints with the brushes to create the design on your face. Use different size brushes and colors to create a more detailed design as you practice.


4. Remove the face painting with makeup remover. Repeat Step 3 several times.
