2. Shop for a downdraft paint booth. Because of compliance issues and problems, you run a huge risk trying to build it yourself. Issues with fumes, the potential for fire and the need to meet local fire and safety codes means you're better off buying a kit to put together.
3. Read the assembly instructions before you start putting anything together. Make sure you have anything extra it might require, like specific fans, lights or wiring.
