Digital camo can be a particularly fun theme, especially for children's rooms, but painting it can be a bit intimidating. Luckily, camo patterns aren't quite as complicated as they may seem at first, so long as you keep in mind that digital camo is made up of small squares. It can take a while to tape up your walls, but the effect is worth your while if you want to create a proper digital style camo wall. Because of how time-consuming painting in this style is, it may be best to use it only on one wall.
Instructions
1. Tape everything that you want to avoid painting. This includes window sills, corners and the edges of the ceiling. Cover the floor with a drop cloth.
2. Apply two coats of one of your paint colors to the entire wall using the paint roller. Wait for the first coat to dry before applying the second.
3. Tape a camo pattern on the walls. Everything the painter's tape covers will remain the original color so use the tape to create different size, shapes and patterns of blocks. Use a reference image if you have one.
4. Paint inside the taped off areas using a flat paintbrush. Do them one color at a time and use a new brush for each color. Keep each taped-off shape a single color.
5. Remove the tape from the wall once the paint has dried. Your base coat should show and blend in with your painted blocks to create a camo pattern.
