A nail painting party can be a fun theme for teens.
Nail painting parties are a cool theme for a teenager's birthday party, and they can be a fun way for teens to get to know each other on a new sports team. These types of parties also let teenagers feel like they are receiving a very adult spa-like treatment while providing a good time for the participants . In addition, a nail party can be done inexpensively for those on a budget or be really glitzy and glamorous for those who want to show off a little.
Instructions
1. Choose cute wording for your invitations that let the invitees know that they will be having their nails done at the party. Also mention the reason for the party, the time, date and contact information. For example, write, "Hands down, Jessica's manicure birthday party will be lots of fun."
2. Choose a date for your party and then send invites out approximately two weeks before the date.
3. Decide on how many people you will be inviting to the party so you will know what supplies you will need and how many manicurists will be necessary. Also decide whether you will be offering manicures and pedicures or just manicures.
4. Figure out a budget and decide whether or not you will be doing the nail painting or hiring people to do the manicures. If you are doing them yourself and have a fairly large party, solicit help from friends or family members so that the invitees won't have to wait long to have their nails done.
5. Collect nail polish. You can use polish you already have, borrow some from friends or buy some more. If you are on a budget, look for inexpensive brands at dollar stores or polish that is on sale at retail stores. If you borrow polish, remember to discreetly label the bottles to identify which belong to whom.
6. Pick out nail stickers and nail rhinestones.
7. Arrange with a professional manicurist or mobile manicure service to come to your house, if you are going that route. If you are having friends or family help out, give them the date and time of your party and verify that they can definitely be there.
8. Prepare a menu of services. On nice card stock, write or print out a brief list of services each girl can choose. This will help guide the teens through the process and focus them. For instance, you can have: A) Choose Your Nail Color, and a choice of colors, B) Choose your nail style, full manicure or French, C) Add a sticker or rhinestone detail, and give samples.
9. Choose a room to hold your party in and set up a station or stations where the invitees can have their nails done. Set up the manicure tools at each station. Arrange an area where girls can wait while their nails dry.
10. Arrange your nail polishes in a pretty basket or other container where each can be seen easily. Do the same with the nail stickers and rhinestones.
11. Place snacks and drinks out for your guests and for the people doing the manicure.
12. Ask the girls to sign up so that you can do their nails in an orderly fashion. Have them fill out the manicure menu cards and look over the nail color selections and extras while they wait.
