Painting your home interior is an easy way to decorate it.
Paint is one of the easiest and most budget-friendly ways to change the look of any room in your home. When choosing the type of decorative paint for your home's interior, take into consideration the type of light that the room receives, humidity level and the room's design style. Also, light paint colors tend to make a room appear larger and more airy. Darker paint colors make rooms feel and look smaller. Take that into account before you start painting.
Raspberry
Raspberry pink paint will brighten up most rooms. While pink is often seen as a feminine color, raspberry pink is more vibrant--rather than decidedly girlish. In a neutral kitchen, painting the cabinets in raspberry pink is a way to liven it up and decorate it without using any other items. If you would like to only add a decorative touch to a room, paint only the trim on your walls with raspberry pink paint, and leave the walls neutral.
Sage Green
Sage green paint is a neutral type of color that is ideal with cool-toned interiors. Use it to decorate a room, while keeping all of the other elements simple and white. Sage green paint looks excellent with silver framed mirrors and pictures. If your bathroom is white and ordinary, paint the walls and ceiling all sage green. Use a darker sage green paint on a white dresser or shelves to add muted elegance to your bedroom.
Chocolate Brown
Chocolate brown paint makes a statement in a room. As chocolate brown paint on all of the walls can be dark and oppressive, try painting only one large wall with chocolate brown paint. Paint the rest of the walls in cream or beige to offset the color. Another way to use chocolate brown paint to decorate your home is to paint light wood furniture with it and it'll look new.
Orange
Orange adds warmth, brightness and style to a room--whether it's a warm terracotta orange or a vibrant coral color. That's true even when you use the paint in small doses throughout a room. For example, paint a small wall in that color of orange, or even just the frames around windows, and your entire room will look bright and modern.
