4. Use stencils to create decorations on the walls. Some ideas include zoo animals, flowers, and cartoon characters. Spread the stenciling around the room, or cluster them on one wall to create a "mural."
5. Paint a small area on a wall with chalkboard paint. Chalkboard paint is applied like regular wall paint. You only need to paint the lower half of the wall. Children can write on chalkboard paint with chalk, so make sure your kids have some handy.
