Nothing shows your die hard team spirit like painting yourself in your favorite team's colors. Whether you plan to only paint your face or your entire body, there are a few tips you should know to be sure that not only will you look good, but that you will also take care of your skin.
Instructions
1. Protect your clothing. Although many face paints made in today's day and age wash out of clothing, you are going to want to take the proper precautions to protect your clothes, or wear clothes that you don't mind ruining. This is especially true when using oil-based paint. This can be as simple as just placing a towel over the areas you do not wish to get paint on.
2. Prepare the area. To get the best coverage, thoroughly clean the area you plan to paint. If it is your entire body, just hop in the shower and use soap and water all over the areas you plan to paint.
3. Start painting. How you choose to paint is really up to you. In some areas it's ok to just use your fingers to smear the paint around, especially when painting your entire body. If it is your face, you may want to invest in some makeup brushes or sponges to help.
4. Don't share your brushes. Be sure to keep as hygienic as possible. This means that you should not share makeup brushes with others, especially those that you don't know. Do not paint areas of your body that have open sores or rashes.
5. Use non-allergenic paint. If you have never used body or face paint before, you will want to be sure to grab a product that states on the package that it is non-allergenic or made for sensitive skin. Even if you think your skin can handle it, even the most tough skin tends to break out after using some types of paints.
6. Only leave the paint on as long as necessary. As soon as you can, clean the paint off. Do not just use a damp sponge. Be sure to use both soap and water to wash the paint off. If possible, use a mild cleanser on your face after you wash the paint off.
