Clean Fresh paint From Vinyl Home windows

When painting a room, applying blue painter's tape to the window frames is the best way to prevent getting paint on the windows. While it will take additional time to apply the tape, cleaning paint off vinyl windows takes even longer. Most interior house paint is water-based latex, which means the paint can be cleaned up with water while it is still fresh. It will take more time and effort to remove paint that has had more time to dry.

Instructions

1. Fill a large cup with warm water. Add a tablespoon of dish soap to the water.

2. Dip an old toothbrush into the soapy water and use the toothbrush to scrub the paint off the frame of the vinyl window.

3. For paint that won't come off with soap and water, soak a rag with rubbing alcohol and apply it to the unwanted paint. Cover the area with plastic cling wrap and let it rest overnight.

4. Remove the cling wrap and wipe away the rubbing alcohol and paint with a wet rag.

5. For unwanted paint that has dried completely, carefully scrape the paint from the glass of the window with a single-edge razor blade.
