Meet a stingray up close at a child's party.
Broward County in Florida has a multitude of party venues for children of all ages to enjoy, from indoor play centers and museums to open air parks with horse stables. Many venues offer pre-organized party packages as well as a variety of add-ons to make the day even more memorable for the guest of honor and her guests.
Imaginarium Hands-On Museum and Aquarium
Families can arrange for a birthday party at the Imaginarium Hands-On Museum and Aquarium during regular open hours or plan for a private party with exclusive access to the museum for an hour and a half. Regular party packages include one and a half to two hours at the Imaginarium, throughout which children can explore the interactive exhibits and shows, step into the high-winds simulator at the Hurricane Experience exhibit and touch a stingray at the Touch Tank exhibit. Additional activities are also available for purchase, including safari helmet decorating, concoction creating and a private tour of the Animal Lab and encounter with a tortoise.
Pump It Up
Pump It Up in northwest Broward is an indoor play center filled with inflatable bouncers, party rooms and a rock-climbing wall. A variety of party packages are available for groups of up to 25 children and include invitations, party supplies, goodie bags and pizza. Members of the play center also receive a gift during the party. Add-ons available for purchase include chicken strips, sub sandwiches, soda pop, ice cream and helium balloons. For extra party fun, the play center offers glow-in-the-dark parties where children can play throughout the inflatable arenas in the dark with only their glow necklaces and bracelets to guide them.
Tradewinds Park
Tradewinds Park, in Coconut Creek, is a regional park that is more than 600 acres in size. The park offers Equine Birthday Party packages for children no taller than 52 inches. The party package include invitations, private use of a tent for up to 30 guests, a grill for barbecuing, a tour of the stables barn and two pony rides for each child. While at the park, guests can play at the large playground and party planners can add on bounce house tickets to the party package for each child. For guests taller than 52 inches, guided trail rides are available.
Young At Art Children's Museum
The Young at Art Children's Museum in Davie offers birthday party packages for children at least two years of age. Every party package includes invitations for birthday guests, admission to the museum for the day and a guided tour of one of the exhibits at the museum. The ArtMASTERS Party package includes exclusive access to the museum for two hours as well as an art activity for guests to bring home, while the ArtEXPLORATION Party package allows children to explore the interactive exhibits in one of the galleries and enjoy birthday cake in a private party area. Families can also include a variety of add-ons with their party package, such as party favors, face painting and character visits.
