Fresh paint Color Plan Ideas

Green, yellow and white color combinations inspired by daisies make cheerful color schemes for bedrooms and kitchens.

The easiest way to pick a color scheme is to look for inspiration in nature and in the world around you--even in man-made materials. These pre-existing color schemes may be followed as loosely or as closely as you desire. Really, these color combinations are best used as a jumping-off point to inspire the direction of the decor in the room.

Beach

One of the reasons people love to rest and relax at the beach is because beaches are beautiful places to be. The whitish yellow of the sand, the delicate pink inside the shells, and the light turquoise of the water all combine to create a visually stunning palette. Just as these colors are beautiful found together on the beach, they are beautiful when found in the rooms of your house. Beach colors are especially popular in bathrooms, which tend to be small and in need of light, room-opening colors, and where sea-shell motif just makes sense anyway.

Blue Willow

Willow plates come in a range of color pairs, always with white and another color. It is no coincidence that blue and white are the most commonly paired colors--the beautiful blue contrasts against white in a way that is traditional and elegant. Light blue, dark blue and white, when combined, create a clean, soothing environment perfect for a bedroom, living room or dining room.

Daisies

This paint scheme, inspired by daisies, is comprised of white, yellow and green. This fabulous, cheerful color scheme works especially well in bedrooms for young and teenage girls, bathrooms, and kitchens. There is no end to the amount of daisy motif available for decoration to coordinate with the color scheme theme, or daisies need not be referenced anywhere in the room for the colors to work just as well.

Cotton Harvest

Cotton plants are white and brown when harvest time comes. This color combination works nicely in small rooms that can benefit from soft, cotton-white walls to open up the space. Brown trim adds a level of sophistication that matches well with hardwood furniture and hardwood floors.
