One way to launch your new clothing business is to host one or more house parties to display your designs to your friends and associates. To devise party ideas, use the same creativity that conceived your clothing design concepts. These parties might help you get a few sales, increase your exposure and help get your clothing business started.
Instructions
1. Set a party theme that will appeal to your target customer. For instance, for a men's clothing line, you might want a sports night theme. For a women's clothing line, consider a girls'-night-out theme. Try to match your party theme to the type of atmosphere where buyers would wear your clothes. For example, if you plan to sell beachwear, consider a pool party.
2. Hire a professional interior designer to set up your living room, dining room, garage, deck or other area of choice for the party. You should present your home in the same professional manner as you would present a clothing store.
3. Send your designs to a manufacturing team to get a series of samples made to display at your parties. If you have a distributor, place an order for various clothing you want to sell. You don't have to order many pieces --- just display the designs to your guests, ask for orders and ship on demand.
4. Print business cards containing your contact information, website and name of your clothing line. Create invitations that advertise your first house party as the official launch of your new clothing business.
5. Distribute catalogs to your party guests listing your clothing designs. Include an order form and contact information so you can continue taking orders and grow your business.
