Corel Painter Essentials allows you to draw cartoons on your computer.
Corel Painter Essentials 4 is an electronic art software program that allows you to photo-paint, draw and paint images electronically. It also has an auto option that turns photos into realistic drawings and paintings automatically. The tools, paints, brushes and effects the program comes with enable you to draw from scratch or with the help of intuitive tools such as Smart Stroke.
Smart Stroke
Instead of allowing the program to paint a photo automatically, you can use the Smart Stroke feature to paint it yourself. This feature tells the brush to follow the contours and shapes in the photo. The size of the brush changes automatically as you work your way through the photo. The pressure and length of each stroke is also automatically adjusted based on the original. You can use this feature to create paintings and drawings.
Mixer Palette
If you are used to mixing your own colors, you can use the mixer palette in Corel Painter Essentials 4. This mixer works the same as mixing paints does in the real world. You will see the colors gradually change as you mix two different colors. You will be able to pick any of the resultant shades of the mixed color present in your mixer palette.
Graphic Tablet
Corel Painter Essentials 4 supports the whole range of graphic tablets produced by Wacom. With a tablet pen, you can control the pressure and flow of the pens and brushes in the program by changing the pressure with which you are using the tablet pen. You will be able to draw and paint natural strokes since you can hold the tablet pen the same way you hold a real pencil or brush. It works the same too. If you tilt the tablet pen, you will see the brush stroke tilted in the program.
