Virtually Paint Walls in Different Colors
A lot of people find it very difficult to pick just the right color for the walls of their homes. What looks good on the test sample in the store ends up looking terrible when you apply it to an entire wall. And often it is only after the fact that you realize your mistake. But there are ways around this. Using digital photos of the room you wish to paint, you can simulate what your walls would look like with different shades of paint.
Instructions
1. Import the digital photo of the room into Adobe Photoshop.
2. Left-click on the "Lasso" tool on the left menu and hold the button down for two seconds.
3. Select the "Polygonal Lasso" tool when a pop-up menu appears.
4. Left-click on one corner of the wall in your photo that you wish to paint. Move your mouse to the opposite corner and left click on that spot. Repeat for all corners. On the final corner, double-click the left mouse button. You have now selected your wall.
5. Left-click on the menu at the top where it says '"Image" and hover your cursor over "Adjustments."
6. Left click on "Hue/Saturation" when a pop-up menu appears.
7. Left-click on the "Hue" slider and drag the arrow around to change the color of your wall. When the wall is the color you want, left-click on "OK."
8. Repeat these steps for all the walls you wish to paint.
