Camouflage can be a design option.
Camouflage is used on military and hunting equipment and clothing for the purpose of blending something in with its surroundings. Most commonly, camouflage is either a combination of green, tan and black, or a combination of brown, tan and black. The combination of colors depends on the surroundings in which the camouflage will be used. Although camouflage is not really appropriate for every room of your house, hunting enthusiasts might wish to paint a wall of their study or game room in camouflage, and little boys might want a camouflage wall in their bedroom.
Instructions
1. Choose the colors you'll be using for camouflage. You might wish to match the camouflage to the decor of the room. Because this camouflage isn't meant to be functional (you won't be using this particular camouflage on a hunting expedition, for example), the colors can be suited to your purposes. Choose at least three colors, but no more than four.
2. Draw random shapes on the wall on which you plan to paint the camouflage. All shapes in camouflage will connect to other shapes. Although these shapes will be irregular, they should share certain qualities. For example, keep all shapes within a size range, and don't draw any straight edges. Study examples of camouflage before you start drawing.
3. Pick the lightest color you've chosen for your wall, and apply this paint randomly to some of the shapes you drew on the wall. Try to distribute the color evenly. If this is one of three colors, paint approximately 1/3 of the shapes on the wall. If this is one of four colors, paint approximately 1/4 of the colors on the wall.
4. Pick the next lightest color for the wall. Again, paint1/3 or 1/4 of the shapes on the wall. Continue to paint the shapes on the wall until you've applied all the different shades of paint, from lightest to darkest, and the entire wall has been painted.
5. Let the wall dry, then touch up any areas that need a second coat.
