Most people know that it's not easy to remove paint from fabric. However, it can be done if you know the right tricks. Although it is almost impossible to remove paint from some surfaces, it's easy to remove it from fabric as long as you get to the paint before it dries. Fortunately, dried satin paint can be removed from fabric if you know the proper technique. The following steps will help guide you.
Instructions
Removing Wet Satin Paint From Fabric
1. Set down your brush immediately. Avoid smearing the satin paint with a cloth--this can cause the paint to work its way deeper into the fibers. Use your fingers, instead, to gently collect as much satin paint as possible.
2. Fill a bowl full of warm, soapy water. Use a rag to scrub the fabric repeatedly. Work quickly before the paint sets. Repeat as necessary.
3. Use clothing detergent to clean the fabric if any satin paint remains. Repeat steps two and three until all of the satin paint has been removed.

4. Lay the fabric on a hard wood surface such as a table or hardwood floor. Stretch the fabric out as much as possible. Eliminate any wrinkles with a book or your hand.
5. Wrap a cloth rag around the plastic putty knife. Use the plastic putty knife to scrap away as much of the dried paint as possible. Ensure that the plastic putty knife is wrapped in a rag or you may risk damaging the fabric.
6. Use a razor blade to carefully pick away any remaining dried paint from the surface of the fabric. Work carefully and slowly to prevent damage to the fabric.
7. Use warm soapy water to remove any remaining dried satin paint. Use clothing detergent to clean the fabric if any satin paint remains. Repeat Step 3 until the paint has been removed.
