Unless you are an artist with a steady hand, you'll probably find it difficult to paint your logo on outside concrete freehand. Luckily, anyone can paint sharp-looking letters, numbers, designs or logos on concrete quite easily with the help of a homemade stencil.
Instructions
Painting a Logo on Concrete
1. Use your computer and printer to print your logo onto the standard computer paper. Allow the ink on the paper to dry for a minute or two. Cut around the logo using the exacto knife. Dispose of the excess paper that bordered the logo.
2. Place the cutout of the logo on top of the poster board somewhere near the center. Trace around this cutout with the pencil creating a template for your stencil. Remove the cutout from atop the poster board and use the exacto knife to cut around the pencil marks on the poster board. Remove the logo-shaped area you cut from the poster board leaving only a hole shaped like the logo in the center of the poster board. Dispose of the original cutout of the logo printed on the computer paper and the one you cut from the poster board as you will be using only the logo-shaped hole in the poster board as your painting stencil.
3. Use sandpaper to rub away any lose particles from the concrete area. Use a rag to remove any dust from the concrete. Hold the poster board with the logo-shaped cutout firmly against the concrete area. Remove the lid from the can of spray paint. Spray over the logo-shaped cutout until the concrete area is completely covered with paint. Remove the poster board stencil to reveal your logo. Be sure to remove the poster board stencil while the paint is still wet or you risk peeling. Allow the painted logo to dry.
